Dr Ruban and his team of 3 nurses performed a hair transplant for me. It took about 6 hours under local anesthetic. He used the strip method where a strip of scalp at the back of ones head is removed, harvested for hair follicles and these are replanted at the front. A bit like gardening really! Firstly, don't worry about this method. It sounds frightening but after 3 months even your hairdresser wont be able to see the incision scar. The procedure was done professionally and I am happy with the result-it is over a year now. Dr Ruban is a very personable and engaging surgeon who really knows his field and I recommend him without hesitation.The procedure itself is painless but there is some discomfort afterwards and sleeping on the first night might be difficult. The cost reflects the time, service and expertise of the team and is in my opinion good value.
